Junior Olympic Qualifiers

 

It is that time again - Junior Olympic Qualifiers will be held at the club
this weekend on Sunday December 4th.  The tournament was previously
scheduled for Saturday and Sunday but has been consolidated to Sunday only
to accommodate students taking the SAT.

 

The age rules for JO's are:  Junior/U20 - 1986-1992   and Cadet/U17 -
1989-1992

These times are close of registration 

 

Fees:    $15  registration

$  5  per event

 

You must have your USFA Membership card for registration.  Equipment will be
checked.

  

Those who qualify will be eligible to attend the Junior Olympics competition
which will be held in Hartford Connecticut February 17-20, 2006.  Qualifying
spots are limited so please be considerate of those who would like to attend
the competition in Connecticut, if you don't plan to travel to Connecticut.
There are limited travel funds available for those who have participated in
the fund-raising efforts.  We will have a meeting at the club next Tuesday
at 5:30 to discuss travel plans and hotel arrangements for those who qualify
for JOs.  Our travel agent has reserved hotel space and airline discounts
for the AFC travel team.

AFC Holiday Party

The annual AFC holiday party will be at the club, Friday December 16th. We
have sign up sheets for a pot-luck dinner.  Beth Rapa has graciously
volunteered to organize the dinner so if you have any questions, please
contact Beth at rapa4 at cox.net.    We are organizing a secret Santa exchange
for the kids.   See the details at the club.
