AFC List We Need Your Help

We will be hosting a yard sale to support the group who will be 
attending Summer Nationals on June 3rd at Cory Gastony's house.  We will 
also be having a car wash that weekend, we are working on a location.  
If anyone has any good locations, please let us know.

This is a great time to clear out your closets and garage before the 
weather gets too hot and help the fencers who will represent AFC in 
Atlanta!  You can start bringing your donations to the club this week.  
Please store them in the kid's waiting area in the back (where the 
vending machines are) and we will arrange to transport them to the yard 
sale.  If you have large items, please let Sandra know and we will 
arrange a time to drop them off at Cory's.

If you (or your child) are going to Summer Nationals we need your help 
to run both the yard sale and the car wash.  All the proceeds from the 
yard sale and the car wash will be used to pay for the coaches travel to 
the tournament.  This is a great way for us to eliminate this expense.  
In the past, with your help, we have been able to send the coaches to 
Summer Nationals and Junior Olympics and support our RYC fencers at 
tournaments through our fundraising efforts.

If you (or your child) is attending Summer Nationals please send me an 
email to sign up to work on the car wash or the yard sale.  If you are 
attending Summer National and cannot participate in the fundraising, you 
will be assessed your portion of the coaches travel expenses.  This 
amount will be determined by taking the total amount of expenses and 
dividing it by the number of fencers going to Summer Nationals.  We are 
estimating this year's expenses to be $100 per fencer.
