AFC List FUND RAISING EVENTS

HEY EVERYONE!!

Summer is rapidly approaching and we have summer nationals to prepare for. It is my sincere hope that everyone, regardless of tournament participation, will help us with the fund raising events. Summer nationals is expensive as our coaches are on location for more than a week. These fund raisers will help pay the coaching expenses, keeping costs under control for parents.

Our first event is the FENCE-A-THON. It will be held on Saturday, May 5, from 8:00 to 12:00. There will be an explanation letter and pledge sheets available at the club on Thursday, April 5th. Please look for these, read through the letter, and start getting pledges. This is a Fun event that raises a fair amount of money for us, IF we have everyone participating. It also provides for some great practice!! Pleasefeel free to e-mail me with any questions you have regarding this event.

The second event is a garage sale. Beth Rapa has graciously volunteered to hold this at her house. It will be held the next Saturday, May 12. WHY SO CLOSE?  Well, we decided if we held it any later it would be just too hot. There are lots of things happening in April, so we really didn't have much choice. Beth has volunteered to start taking items the week before the sale. I will have a map to her house available at the club, probably the same day as the fence-a-thon.
