Fun Fencing Saturday

Fifteen fencers have signed up for AFC’s first “fun
fencing” tournament of the season, at 1 p.m. Saturday,
Sept. 15, at the club. So what are you waiting for?
The foil, epee and saber events are designed for
beginner fencers to get a taste of competition. Florin
and Adrian will be there to guide you. Look for the
sign-up sheet in the AFC lobby.

AFC shines at Prescott
This year's Prescott Fall Classic was the most
competitive tournament there in years, and the 24 AFC
fencers turned in impressive performances. The
highlights: 
--Skyler Russell winning open mixed epee. AFC placed 5
fencers in the top 6.
--Tarren Villaverde wins Y12/Y14 mixed foil and Tanner
Price places 3rd.
--James Arama finishes 2nd in junior mixed epee -- and
jumps from a U rating to a B! 
--Andrew Lee finishes 3rd in junior mixed saber.
--Cris Marchant and Jack Resnik place in the top 10 in
open mixed foil.
